Widespread
use of mobile phone sets has marked a milestone in the history of
telephone in Japan production has reached 450 million sets in 2001,
exceeding that of stationary sets. According to a forecast, 670 million
sets will be produced by 2005.Household electric appliances which had
long been hard to purchase already became ordinary goods in the early
1980s owing to a sharp decline in price and a reduction in dimensions.
Not only advancements in technology but also innovation in production
process did contribute toward a rapid pervasion of such appliances. 
It
deserves special mention that this evolution seen on the plant floor
was supported by introduction of embossed carrier tape, one of the main
products of Nihon Garter Co. At the early stage of process renovation,
we succeeded in mass-producing embossed carrier tape, the first of its
kind in Japan, although such a mode of production was considered
difficult at that time.
Our driving force is backed by a vast amount of accumulated expertise.
We have built up the majority of our plant facilities on our own.
Our
knowhow contains an abundance of ideas that would be useful in
enhancing operational efficiency. We believe that this knowhow is what
our customers wish to seek. On the basis of this belief, we have been
engaged in producing embossed carrier tapes and also have been
developing R&D, production and sales for taping machine (inserts
the components to embossed carrier tape)and sorting machine(sorts the
components according to the ranks).
As an ideal combination of accurately actuating mechanical components
and the leading-edge electronic control technology, these machines are
expected to find their ways into diversified industrial areas beyond
mere application to electronic parts.
